Lessons with Chris Howe
Chris Howe is a British PGA qualified golf instructor with over 25 years of experience. He is also a full vocational member of the Australian PGA.
Chris has a unique teaching style that blends technical and practical golf training with a deep understanding of Trackman data. He is known for his engaging and personable teaching style, as well as his ability to find different solutions to each golfer’s individual problems.
Chris has twice been nominated for NSW Teacher of the Year.
Chris’s Biography
- Started playing golf at 14 years of age
- Turned professional in 1997 at 19 with a handicap of scratch
- Graduated in 2001 though the British PGA academy at the Belfry
- 2001-2003 played professionally throughout Europe and the US
- Australian PGA Member 2005
- 2003-2009 Teaching Professional at Moore Park Australia – Nominated twice for NSW PGA Teacher Of The Year
- 2009-2017 Teaching Professional at Royal Sydney Golf Club
- 2017-2019 Head Professional at Royal Sydney Golf Club
- 2020 – 2022 Director of Instruction at Woollahra Golf Club
- 2023 CEO / Founder at Howe 2 Golf.
Lessons with Michael Smyth
Michael is a member of the Australian PGA, who maintains an advanced standing in Coaching.
As an elite amateur, Michael was fortunate to be a member of the New South Wales Institute of Sport, which provided him with the opportunity to learn from and develop relationships with high level coaches and service providers within the golf industry.
Since turning professional Michael has played tournaments throughout Australia, Asia and
America, before turning his attention to coaching. He demonstrates his passion for coaching through his enthusiasm and his ability to communicate in a manner appropriate for each golfer.
Michael enjoys coaching players of all ages and abilities and takes great pride in helping them enjoy the game and achieve their golfing goals.
His coaching philosophy has been influenced by his experiences as a player and his continued learning as a coach. As a result, he combines his understanding of the players physical attributes and the use of technology, to provide a framework for how a player can lower scores.
Michael will begin coaching with us on Monday July 22nd.
